Who doesn’t love puppies? They are cute, fuzzy, adorable, warm and hold a special place in our hearts. That is exactly why we decided to feature Positive Paws Rescue Transport as our Hart Mind Soul custom screen printing and embroidery customer of the week.
Located in Albuquerque New Mexico, Positive Paws Rescue Transport helps to make the world a better place one life at a time.
Positive Paws helps to transfer dogs in New Mexico out of animal shelters and into loving homes . Positive Paws provides a transport van, drivers, crates and vet care. Positive Paws continues to raise money to fund their efforts. Specializing in animals from high kill shelters in New Mexico, Positive Paws screens incoming rescues to ensure that the animals are transported to reputable, compassionate and responsible homes.
The animals up for adoption are housed in foster homes in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. Positive Paws Rescue Transport provides medical care and vetting for each animal that comes into our rescue. We do our best to ensure animals are healthy, happy and a part of a family.
If you would like to meet one of our animals for adoption, please fill out our adoption application or come by one of our many events around the city of Albuquerque, NM. Once an application is received and approved, we will make contact to set up a meet & greet. We perform home visits for all adoptions and require an adoption fee and signed contract before dog is released. We also stipulate in the contract that if for any reason the animal cannot stay with you forever, that it will be returned to Positive Paws Rescue Transport.
Please in all your interactions with us, keep in mind that Positive Paws Rescue Transport is composed of just two (2) people running the entire rescue operation. We have families of our own, jobs, personal emergencies, etc. that sometimes require our time and attention. We are volunteers working in our spare time, with a common dream and the passion to fulfill that goal. We appreciate the respect and consideration from all our fans, supporters and additional volunteers.
In the first year of operation, Positive Paws Rescue Transport saved 676 animals from euthanasia. We are constantly in need of volunteers for transports, fundraising and other special projects and are constantly in need of fosters to house our dogs until their permanent homes are found.
